STEVE ADAMS is the Children’s Pastor at Saddleback Church. He has served in children’s ministry for almost 20 years and had currently been at a church in Naperville, IL for 13 of those years. Steve is a leader of leaders and has mentored many children’s leaders over the years. God has blessed him with a creative mind, a true pastor’s heart and a passion for serving God and others through Children’s Ministry! Steve and his wife, Stephanie, have two sons, Tyler (18) and Matthew (13).

ANNE TERRY started serving as a volunteer for 5th graders in 1996. She fell in love with All STARS and joined the Saddleback staff in 1999. Her current position is serving as the Lead Weekend Coordinator for children ages birth through grade six. She is passionate about bringing in "community" kids and introducing them to the Lord for the first time!

CYNTHIA PETTY has been a Children’s Minister in the All STARS Children’s Ministry at Saddleback Church since 1999. Her responsibilities include directing a team of paid staff who oversee the weekend services and Kids Small Groups at Saddleback. Cynthia has a degree in Christian Education and over 25 years experience as a Christian school educator and in full time ministry to youth and children.

KURT JOHNSTON has been in full time Junior High Ministry since 1988 and he's still smiling! He has led the Junior High Ministry at Saddleback since 1997 and can't imagine doing anything else. Kurt also feels called to encourage and equip other Junior High youth workers and has written numerous books and created tons of resources with that goal in mind. Kurt likes to spend his free time riding dirt bikes and hanging out with his wife Rachel and their two children, Kayla and Cole.

DOUG FIELDS has been serving on the front lines of youth ministrysince 1979 and creating helpful tools for youth workers all over the world. He is the best-selling author of Purpose Driven Youth Ministry, Your First Two Years in Youth Ministry and Refuel as well as a Teaching Pastor and the Life Development Pastor at Saddleback Church. Doug currently has two teenagers in his home and one in college and relies on his wife, Cathy, and Diet Pepsi to get him through the day.

LIZA GANT began serving as a Volunteer Student Leader in All STARS in 1999, and joined the All STARS staff in 2005. She holds a Master’s degree in psychology and is also working towards a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. She serves as the Lead Coordinator for the Kids Small Groups team and leads the All STARS local and global PEACE mission trips for kids, which includes trips to Rwanda and Dominican Republic.

Amy Kendall joined the All STARS team in 2007 as the Special Needs Coordinator. Before working at Saddleback, she worked for ten years in the educational sector as a behavior specialist, specializing with children on the autism spectrum. Amy graduated from Pacific Christian College with her B.A. in Ministry and her M.A. from Hope International University in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.

Amy Nantkes is in her thirteenth year of children’s ministry and has served as the Coordinator for the Edge, weekend ministry to Grades 5/6 at Saddleback since 2006. Amy’s interests in children’s ministry have led her from Australia to New Orleans to Northern Ireland. Amy graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis with a degree in Cross Cultural Studies and Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Becky Bernardes started as a volunteer in children’s ministry in 1995, in a multicultural church located in the melting pot of the New York Metropolitan Area. She studied Early Childhood Education at Rutgers University, along with a background in business administration and marketing. Becky moved to California in 2006, where she volunteered in Kids Small Groups at Saddleback Church. In February, 2008, she joined the staff as the Children’s Ministry Director of our Irvine regional campus.

Becky Downs is the Nursery Coordinator and has served with All STARS for eight years. Before joining the staff, she served as the Children’s Minister at a local church. Becky has degrees in Christian Education from Biola University and Talbot School of Theology.

Cari Burnett is the Children’s Ministry Director of our Corona regional campus. She began serving in All STARS as a weekend volunteer in Grades 3/4 in 1999 and has also served as a Coach in Kids Small Group. Cari is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where she received her B.S. and earned her teaching credential from University of California, Irvine.

Colleen Arciniega began serving in 1999 as an All STARS weekend volunteer in Grades 3/4 and continues to serve as an All STARS coach. She joined the Saddleback Children’s Ministry staff in 2001 and has had many responsibilities on the team. She currently oversees our children’s facilities, resources and team’s data entry.

Crislene Koppen is the Ministry Administrator for Saddleback’s Children’s Ministry and manages staffing and budget. She came from the corporate business world where she was the Vice President of Operations for a manufacturing firm. She has been on staff for 13 years.

Dawn Schuster started in All STARS as a volunteer in 1994 and joined the staff at Saddleback in 1999. Throughout the years, she has been a part of the Elementary, Weekend and midweek small group teams. She is currently the Weekend Program Coordinator.

Elaine Roberts has been the Weekend Coordinator for Grades 1/2 at Saddleback Church for five years. Before coming on staff, Elaine served as a volunteer for 13 years on the Saddleback worship team and in the All STARS weekend and midweek small group ministries. Elaine has a B.A. in Business Administration and Music from Rollins College.

Gretchin Duncan is the Team Associate for Grades 5/6. She has over ten years of experience working and serving in children’s ministry and is excited to be on staff at Saddleback Church. She graduated from Bethany Bible College with a degree in youth ministry.

Kim Versluis is the Children’s Director at the San Clemente regional campus. She started serving as a volunteer in children’s ministry in 2002 and came on staff in 2003. She started on the weekend team working in the Nursery, after a year moved to the Kids Small Groups team for two years and has been at our San Clemente campus for the past 2 1/2 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Studies from Cal State Fullerton, a Master’s Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCI. She also recently graduated from Golden Gate Theological Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.

Matt Morris joined the Saddleback staff in 2003 after graduating from the International School of Theology in 2000. His background includes strong technical abilities in video and audio production, post-production and print. Since becoming a part of the Saddleback children’s ministry team, he has fine-tuned the production process that generates original programming for the weekend curriculum. Each program is developed from scripting to final editing under Matt’s direction. His team consists of camera operators, editors, graphic designers and production coordinators. Matt’s staff, combined with a team of volunteers, produces quality weekend video curriculum for Nursery through Grade 6.

Megan Foster started serving in the nursery with her mom and younger sister in 2005. She joined the All STARS staff in October of 2006 as the Nursery Associate. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine.

Melody Garrison is the Weekend Coordinator for children age 4 through Kindergarten at Saddleback. She has worked in children’s ministry in different capacities for the last ten years. Melody has also served as a midweek small group leader and coach for the last seven years.

Meredith White has been a member of All STARS since August of 2005. During that time, she has worked part time as a Team Associate for Grades 1/2 and now as a full time coordinator for Kids Small Groups, Children’s 101 and 201. Her involvement in children’s ministry has reminded her of the importance of planting a passion for spiritual foundation in the lives of the next generation while empowering them to impact their world for Christ. She received her Bachelor’s from Chapman University in 2007.

Rose Kent is the Kids Small Groups Coordinator at the San Clemente regional campus. She started attending Saddleback in 2000, began to serve as a volunteer in children’s ministry in 2005 and came on staff in 2007. Rose started serving at Summer Spectacular and in Kids Small Groups as a classroom leader with her children. She helped to launch the San Clemente campus 2 1/2 years ago as a volunteer and came on staff last year. She is married to Jay and has three wonderful children, Bailey, Jace and Logan. Rose has a passion for teaching children and their families about God. She knows what gifts children are and feels so blessed that she gets to be a part of what God is doing all around this world.

Shawna Santos started in All STARS as a volunteer for Grade 1 in 2002. She joined the children’s ministry staff at Saddleback in 2003 as a weekday children’s leader. She has served as the Team Associate for ages 4 through Kindergarten and is currently the Coordinator for children ages 2/3.

Stacey Davis is currently the Weekend Coordinator for Grades 3/4 for Saddleback Church. She was a volunteer in children’s ministry for many years and has received her B.A. from Azusa Pacific University in Communications with a Theater Arts emphasis.

Stephanie Olenik is currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science. She has worked at Saddleback Church for seven years with three years in children’s ministry. She is the Team Associate for Grades 3/4 alongside Stacey Davis.

Sue Morrow attended Saddleback Church for many years before joining the children’s ministry production team in January of 2008. She brings over twenty years of television and corporate video experience to her role as Production Coordinator. Before joining the Saddleback team, she produced a variety of travel and sports oriented programs as well as corporate events for the automotive industry. Currently Sue’s job is to bring order to the fast moving video production department. This includes timelines, budgets and pre-production details like costumes and cast as well as participating in video production shoots. She is a wife and mother of three.

Sue Rosenthal started as an All STARS volunteer in 2004 and joined the children’s ministry staff at Saddleback Church in 2006. Prior to coming on staff, she worked primarily in the corporate world at several Fortune 500 companies. Sue has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and she is currently Cynthia Petty’s assistant.

Susan Terry has served in many capacities within the children’s ministry at Saddleback Church as volunteer and paid staff since 1994. She continues in her leadership role working alongside Steve Adams as his assistant. Susan has her B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Biola University.

Tammy Reideler is the Kids Small Groups Coordinator, Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2, at Saddleback Church. She began serving in All STARS in 2000 and joined the children’s ministry staff in 2003. Tammy has her B.S. Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Cal State Fullerton.

Tracy Isaac has served in children’s ministry at Saddleback Church since 2004 and is currently the Kids Small Groups Team Administrator. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from CSU Fullerton and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Tracy worked as an elementary school teacher for nine years before coming on staff.
