SESSION 1 EXAMINE
In this session, we will examine what it means to have a heart that is truly HIS and OPEN hands to serve.
SESSION 2 EXECUTE
Developing a ministry on “purpose” is the foundation for any Children’s Ministry. In this session, you will learn how to use your heart to align with God’s purposes and your hands to execute a process for discipling the children in your ministry.
SESSION 3 EDUCATE & EVALUATE
Having a purpose and a process for Children’s Ministry is just the beginning! In this practical session, we will actually show you some of the ways the Saddleback All STARS Children’s Ministry puts purpose and process together to form programs to educate our kids on the weekend. You will have a chance to evaluate and apply some of what you see to your own ministry. Programs to be covered: Summer Spectacular, Baptism Class, Weekend Services (including our weekend video curriculum) and Child Dedication.
SESSION 4 EDUCATE & EVALUATE
In this session, we will continue to show ways to educate and disciple kids to know, grow, serve and share Jesus locally and globally through Kids Small Groups. As you evaluate our kid’s discipleship program, our goal is that you will be able to glean ideas for your own ministry! Programs to be covered: The Journey - Kids Small Groups Discipleship Program, Kids on a Mission and PEACE for kids.
SESSION 5 EQUIP
The Bible is clear on the difference between being a “shepherd” or simply a “hired hand.” If we are called by God, He will equip us to shepherd our flock. In this session, we will understand more about the importance of our calling to Children’s Ministry and how to care for our flock by becoming a Shepherd Leader to children, parents and volunteers.
SESSION 6 ENLIST
Volunteers...Ministry to children could not happen without them! In this session, we will explore ways to identify, enlist and love on your volunteer leaders. We will share our All STARS Volunteer Orientation Process, how we train them and how we appreciate them. You will also hear from other Children’s Ministry Pastors and leaders and how enlisting volunteers works in their church.
SESSION 7 ENGAGE
Jesus has called us to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. This is not just for adult Christians to accomplish, but also for children who have made the decision to follow Jesus! Join us as we learn more about the PEACE plan and ways to engage children in God’s plan to “go into all the world!”
SESSION 8 EMPOWER
We all face giants in our ministry and personal lives. Just as in the life of David, we are empowered by God to look these giants in the face with confidence in the One who has called us! And we are called to empower others to do the same! This session will be uplifting as other Children’s Ministry leaders share their struggles and victories.
SESSION 9 EVOLVE
Developing a Children’s Ministry doesn’t just happen overnight, it evolves. It takes time to build a ministry culture! Don’t give up! Stay the course by learning how to be “Refueled.”
SESSION 10 ENCOURAGE
David was chosen not because of exterior talents, but because of interior qualities – a heart after God’s. David was chosen to fulfill His calling, not someone else’s. And God chose YOU to fulfill His calling in your life. What is holding you back? You will be encouraged to go out and slay your “giants!” Just like David, we all have “rocks in our pouches.” All we have to do is to take one out, throw it and allow God to guide it!
